Mhack Morales is ready to rough it out
A young guy is forced into a life of prostitution during the height of the pandemic to save himself from the cruelty of his father. The “Anak ng Macho Dancer” mirrors the reality that the poor only experience while the rich exploit them.
The struggles of macho dancers because of the harsh poverty in our country
TicketNet has brought one of the most awaited Pinoy films of the year directly to viewers for the digital premiere of “Anak ng Macho Dancer”. This film is a sequel to the 1988 cult classic “Macho Dancer” which was directed by the legendary Lino Brocka. Meanwhile, renowned director Joel Lamangan brought the 2021 film to life.
Aside from an interesting plot, this movie includes veteran actors like Alan Paule, Jay Manalo, Rosanna Roces, and Jaclyn Jose. They also let four newcomers join the cast and one of them is Mhack Morales.
Mhack Morales plays the character of Lemuel in the story. He’s one of the macho dancers on the stage but he antagonizes the lead actor, Inno. He said that he did not have enough time to prepare for the role because it was all a surprise for him. But he did his best to portray the role by studying it and doing interviews. He practices in front of the mirror and asks for advice from his co-actors. So far, he learned a lot of lessons from the plot of the “Anak ng Macho Dancer” and he wants to share them with the readers:
“I want them to be grateful for what they have, especially to those people or audience who have the privilege to have a better life. For those audiences who are facing difficulties, don’t lose hope. Just keep on praying and striving. In every darkest, there’ll always hope at the end of the obstacles.”
A person armed with experience and a clear focus on his future
Behind the camera, Mhack is very far from Lemuel’s personality since he’s a fun and outgoing person. He focuses mainly on developing his skills and likes to challenge his limits. Ever since he was a child it is always been his dream to see himself on the TV. He started his career in dancing and modeling. But the chance for him to act on the big screen came one day. “I’m always open to opportunities, I love challenges and criticisms. This year I want to focus on my abilities that can improve my acting skills.”
Before acting, Mhack also got a job as a P.E. teacher and it’s one of his passions. He loves to share what he knows and what he has. He further explained that Physical Education is very important. “It is not just how to play a game, how to play musical instruments, or how to dance. Physical Education is a subject teaching us how to be healthy and how to be physically fit.”
His experience as a teacher helped him to memorize his lines with much more ease. He also shared that an effective teacher must be a confident one and the same thing goes for acting.
Mhack certainly proves that you must strive for the things that you want in life. There’s no shortcut for success since the process will help him to become the person he wants to be. Hope that we’ll see him on more shows soon!
