Being away from her family in the Holidays

Liza posted a video of her celebrating the holiday on her Instagram account. She shared how she misses her family back in the Philippines so they instead celebrated Christmas via video call.

“Happy Holidays. Really missing my family back home in the PH. It was supposed to be our first time celebrating in our newly renovated home but we’re still thankful we get to celebrate together via video call.”

Not being able to make it in the ABS-CBN Christmas Special

Liza and her boyfriend Enrique Gil were also absent during the ABS-CBN Christmas Special. On the other hand, the actor joined the actress on their holidays in the States. We can all assume it lessened the sadness of Liza for celebrating Christmas away from home.

Liza addressed this in a recent tweet that she made with her account.

“Hello everyone! As much as @itsenriquegil and I would’ve loved to be at the ABS-CBN Christmas Special this year, we won’t be able to make it due to unforeseen circumstances. We really wanted to be there for all of you and we were ecstatic to see our Kapamilya whom we missed dearly.”

Grandma in the States, not doing well

The TRECE actress is in the United States due to the news that her great grandmother, Bobbie, wasn’t doing so well. In the same Twitter thread, she mentioned how grandma Bobbie was the one who cared for her in the Land of the Free.

“She was one of the people who raised me back when I was in America. I wouldn’t miss being with her during tough times for the world.

It is really sad to celebrate the holidays apart from your loved ones, especially for the first time. However, there will be circumstances that we have to. Despite all of these, don’t let it ruin your holiday cheer.

As long as you feel their presence and you’re connected by your love for each other, there’s nothing to worry about.
