INSTAGRAM RAID: Janella Salvador Being the Sweetest Mom
In the 2022 superhero series Mars Ravelo’s Darna or simply Darna, Janella Salvador plays Regina Vanguardia and Valentina. Her character is a lawyer and vlogger, making her the modern-day version of the iconic villainess. Before making her teleserye comeback through Darna, Janella debuted in the hit series Be Careful with My Heart in 2012. She also starred in several series including Oh My G! and The Killer Bride.
Meanwhile, throughout her acting career, it seems that Janella’s characters always fall into the “daughter” role. Of course, she nailed all of them because she is one of the most skilled actresses in her batch. Thus, watching her act as a daughter again, through Regina Vanguardia, reminds me of Janella’s greatest role—being a mother.
In October 2020, she and her partner Markus Paterson welcomed a baby boy they named Jude. The following year, she and Markus threw a Baby Boss–themed party for Jude’s first birthday. Moreover, Janella never wastes a chance to show the world her motherly love for Jude on her Instagram account.

Firsts do not need to be perfect, they just have to be sincere and sweet. And, it seems that Janella understood the assignment when she gave baby Jude the best “first swim” of his life. She also shared her own special first with his son.
Janella revealed that she originally wanted to go to the beach or somewhere she can swim and relax. However, due to restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, she just decided to set up a pool on her balcony. Moreover, she also added that it was Jude’s first swim and her first birthday as a mother.
“New Babies” for Mother and Son
Janella spent precious time with Jude in an outdoor activity to test their “new babies”—a new bike and car. She happily posed while she was on her bike and her son smiled while sitting in his mini-car. Although Janella failed in her attempt to accomplish a matching pose with Jude, they seem to have enjoyed their rides.

In 2021, Janella celebrated a wonderful Halloween by sporting an iconic costume with her son Jude. She transformed into Cruella de Vil and Jude dressed up as a puppy from 101 Dalmatians. True to her craft, she showed her impressive acting skills and channeled her inner villain. While the actress dressed up as an evil character, she is the sweetest for sharing this moment with her son.
A Christmas to Remember
In 2021, Janella made sure to spend Christmas Eve with Jude and Markus, her son’s father. She posed for a couple of lovely pictures with Jude. She also posed with both Markus and Jude for a memorable Christmas family photo. Perhaps, it is both safe and obvious to say that Christmas Eve becomes extra merry if celebrated with family. Janella may say that her son Jude is the best Christmas gift that she received. However, it also seems that Jude is the best gift in every season of her life.
Janella Salvador is a great actress who can impressively give any given role justice. Whether the character is a faithful teen, a two-faced woman, or a competitive villainess, she can perfectly play them all.
