Heart Evangelista is giving away tablets to students for online schooling

Due to coronavirus pandemic, some schools are shifting to online learning — however, there are some households who don’t have the resources for this new learning arrangement. Actress Heart Evangelista empathize with less fortunate students, she is giving away free tablets to help them in this time of need.

“I heard having a tablet or computer is a requirement for online classes so I will do the best I can. I’m sorry I can’t help everyone but I will try to help as much as I can,” she wrote.

Just yesterday, Heart announced the giveaway, asking those who want to avail of the gadget to send her a direct message on Instagram.

“For those who don’t have tablets for online school please dm me on ig… I will be giving away as much tablets as I can,” she added.

This learn-from-home setup was being imposed by some schools and institutions to lower the risk of the spread of dreaded coronavirus disease. In fact, according to reports, DepEd scheduled the start of school year on August 24.

As of this writing, the Philippines has recorded 20,382 cases, 984 death, and 4,248 recovered patients.
