Han So Hee looks ‘palaban’ in Netflix’s teaser for My Name!

You may remember Han So Hee as this alluring girl-next-door Yu Nabi from the K-drama Nevertheless. Now, she’s stirring up the Internet with her photos as an undercover agent in an upcoming series!

Here’s what we know about the crime thriller, My Name

Netflix’s My Name is a story about a woman named Yoon Ji Woo (Han So Hee) who joins an organized crime ring. She, then, infiltrates the police as an undercover agent. Her goal? To find out the truth about her father’s death. Her father died right in front of her during her 17th birthday.

The teaser photos show the moment which Yoon Ji Woo goes to find her father’s longtime friend and Dongcheon Gang’s boss Moo Jin (Park Hee Soon). For the purpose of revenge and survival, she sharpens her skills continuously.

We are in awe of how Han So Hee made a huge transformation into Yoon Ji Woo with her short hair and leather jacket.

Another photo depicts Yoon Ji Woo facing against Moo Jin with her boxing gloves and a face full of wounds. This gets our hopes up that Han So Hee will be able to perform well in fight scenes.

The 26-year-old actress expressed her enthusiasm for training,

“I realized for the first time that I have two left feet. I gradually transformed by going to action school on all of the days—Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays—and I had fun filming because of the euphoria that comes after perfectly completing an action scene.”

Additionally, Director Kim Jin Min complimented the lead actress’ dedication to her acting craft. He said,

“Han So Hee found the solution on her own. She thinks extremely hard about what she has to do, so she can just film it when she arrives on set.”

Due to Moo Jin’s suggestion, Yoon Ji Woo leaves her name behind and becomes Oh Hye Jin. Infiltrating the police, Yoon Ji Woo struggles to reveal the secret behind her father’s passing. She also has to face the cold truth as she starts working undercover in a world different from the one with gangs.

We have a good feeling that Han So Hee will give justice in portraying Yoon Ji Woo’s different emotions. Undeniably, My Name will leave us hanging in each episode with its intriguing plot and characters.

My Name premieres on October 15 via Netflix. It will be directed by Kim Jin Min, the director of the Netflix drama Extracurricular that aired in 2020.
