Kacey Musgraves includes Drag Race Superstar Symone for the promotion her new album

The latest winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the Ebony Enchantress — Symone, joins Musgraves for her forthcoming album.

Appearing in the music video is a slew of other out celebs. It is set to be released on September 10 on Paramount+.

A new Kacey Musgraves era is upon us and fans are out there gushing over the exciting music and music video.

The country music queen and vocal LGBTQ+ ally has officially confirmed the highly anticipated follow-up to Golden Hour.

This is her Grammy-winning 2018 masterpiece. Musgraves’ new album, Star-Crossed, drops September 10, and you can listen to the title track/lead single right now.

As if that weren’t enough, the High Horse singer will also be releasing the Star-Crossed visual album exclusively on Paramount+ on September 10.

First, RuPaul’s Drag Race, then Madonna, and now Kacey? Paramount+ is really snatching our wigs from here and there.

The trailer for the Star-Crossed film features Musgraves on a journey from holy matrimony to heartbreak, based on her real-life split with her ex-husband.

Along the way, she meets an eclectic cast of characters, including RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 13 winner Symone, Hacks breakout star Meg Stalter, and fellow country crooner Orville Peck.

It’s been three years since Golden Hour, but Musgraves has kept it busy in between albums. She embarked on her Oh, What a World tour and chased phantoms with Scooby-Doo and the gang.

She also starred in an Amazon Christmas special and collaborated with Boy Smells in creating a candle. Finally, she joined Troye Sivan for a dreamy remix of “Easy.”

In recent interviews, Musgraves described the 15-track album as a “modern tragedy in three acts.”

Prepare to fall apart and have your heart broken when Star-Crossed drops on September 10. As a big fan of Symone, it’s amazing how she featured Drag Race royalty in the mix. This just seems so promising.
