5th VP Choice Awards partners with Dialysis PH, advocates health cause

5th Village Pipol Choice Awards (VPCA) collaborated with kidney patients’ support group Dialysis PH as it opened the voting poll for the upcoming awards night on May.

VPCA went into a contract signing with the kidney health advocate organization led by Inyi Yruma, Project Director of VPCA; Reynaldo Sebacca Abacan, Jr., President and Founder of Dialysis Support Group PH Inc; and Richie de Quina, President and Founder of RED Entertainment, Inc.

This partnership highlights VPCA’s efforts to give back to the community, for making the award event the most followed and engaged for the past five years.

Being the most followed and engaged event in the Philippines, following its more than 110 million plus engagement in its previous event, VPCA also aimed to utilize their platform to push forward the health advocacies upheld by the organization. Furthermore, the award-giving body recognized the extensive efforts of Dialysis PH in educating more people on their conditions and supporting patients in their community.

In an interview, de Quina expressed his excitement on this partnership, citing their aim to uphold community support. Moreover, he highlighted the potential this partnership holds in terms of promoting the cause of the organization.

It’s particularly significant for our fellow Filipinos who are struggling with renal and kidney failure. Our aim is to offer them assistance and to inform the public that there’s a support group they can turn to if needed.

Reel Stars for Real Stars

To benefit the partner organization and support their programs, VP Choice Awards gave Pipol more power this year. Fans and supporters of the nominated brands and celebrities in different categories can now become the real star through Facebook reel stars.

Aside from casting their votes through this platform, Pipol also get to support the causes and programs of Dialysis PH. Parts of the proceeds from the Facebook reel stars will be directly donated to the nonprofit organization, amplifying their projects and supporting their community.

Yruma, in an interview, recognized this activity as one of the main highlights of the 5th VPCA, leveling up this year’s most anticipated red carpet on May. The project director also shared his excitement on the event, citing the newest purpose of the votes from the fans and supporters.

I would say that the 5th Village Pipol Choice Awards is the edition filled with heart. This time, the Pipol, the Fans, will no longer just vote for their favorite celebrities or brands to win the award, but their votes will also help our chosen beneficiaries. This year, it’s Dialysis PH.

Also, the project director stated they will be addressing the issues they have encountered last year in terms of voting such as website crashes and other technical issues in Facebook. And in response to this, the award-giving body partnered with BingoPlus as one of their voting channels and utilize Facebook Reels as another manner to cast votes to avoid technical issues such as bot intervention.

Send a Star, Send Love and Care to Dialysis PH

Meanwhile, Dialysis PH conveyed their gratitude to their partnership, recognizing the power it could bring to their causes and advocacies. Abacan reminded the pipol of the worth of their votes not only to the stars and brands they support but also to the lives of their community members who are in constant battle against kidney disease.

Moreover, the team also expressed their excitement for the forthcoming awards night presented by BingoPlus with Fleek and Converge as co-presenters. VPCA that their collaborations with various distinct organizations across industries made the event better, including its tie-up with Spotlight, Visualscape, Amaterasu, and Eplayment as major sponsors.
