She also apologizes for not being able to release a music video on time because of her grandmother’s death. Then, she has a tight schedule because she needs to catch up with her absences in Binibining Pilipinas activities. Still, she assures everyone that she will release a proper music video soon.
She also revealed that this song will be her piece for the talent portion in Binibining Pilipinas on June 23, 2022.
Herlene Debut Single “Gandang Hipon“
Herlene already released a song under Wowowin management entitled “Talikodgenic Man Ako” in 2019.
According to Herlene, Gandang Hipon is her debut single. This song is dedicated to the ladies who experienced being called “Hipon” or shrimp in English. This is a derogatory remark for people who have a nice body but not-so-good face.
Gandang Hipon encourages ladies to have confidence and that they are beautiful in their own ways.
The lyrics say:
Ikaw ay maganda, ‘wag kang mag-alala
Palagi sa sarili mo’y maniwala
Ikaw ay maganda, ‘wag kang mahihiya
Sabihin sa lahat na ang ganda mo’y naiiba
Gandang Hipon Lyrics
This song is composed by Herlene herself. Also, she said that her manager, Wilbert Tolentino, gave her the task of writing the lyrics for this song when she passed the Binibining Pilipinas screening. Her manager only gave her the title to work on.
Herlene also thanked her Music Engineers MJ Magno and Daryl Ong, her Music Video director, Edrex Sanchez, and Musical director Ryan Soto.
This song is available on digital music streaming sites such as Spotify, iTunes, YouTube Music, and other streaming platforms.
Herlene also asked her followers to support her and her debut single and to make it a trend on TikTok.
Rosella also called as Sella by her friends, is a proud "iskolar ng bayan," studying Journalism at Polytechnic University of the Philippines. She loves to read and express herself through writing. She believes that mind and words are powerful, so she aspires to be someone who uses them to amplify the voice of others.
