Halina is Divino Dayacap’s recording project under O/C Records. The baroque-pop act creates songs with particular elements of classical music. They also explore a variety of musical styles, including baroque pop, psychedelic rock, and dream pop to break away from the conventions of popular music.
Divino, the musician behind Halina studied in the Conservatory of Music of University of Santo Tomas. He did his first ever musical scoring for the full-length film Metamorphosis in 2019. He was also nominated in the 43rd Gawad Urian Awards Best Music category held in 2020.
Moreover, he played part in Unique Salonga’s second studio album PANGALAN. He is the keyboardist and percussionist for Unique.

Ukay Tamis
This song sounds relaxing and comforting. A track that you would dedicate to and associate with a special someone. A tune that you would really want to slow dance to with your other half.
Ukay Tamis was released on SoundCloud five years ago. O/C Record re-released thing song on music streaming platforms in November 2019. It now has 570,000 streams on Spotify.
According to Divino, this was recorded in three weeks, but it took approximately two years to mix and master it effectively. He also disclosed on his Twitter account that this song is originally not for Halina.
“Initially kasi, gusto ko [ka]pag Halina, puro weird songs lang. Pero ewan, I have a fickle mind.”
Kwarto Waltz
This is very classical and festive music. It gives the vibes of the old way of serenading from beneath your windows. It incorporates a symphonic sound and uses layered harmonies and strings.
This track is also the debut song of the band under their record label. It took approximately three years to create yet only took three months to record and master this song.
Divino also posted Kwarto Waltz’s 2017 demo version on his SoundCloud account. Currently, Kwarto Waltz holds Halina’s highest streams on Spotify with 840,000.
IV. Ang Gusto
Ang Gusto is Halina’s latest and third single released on September 10, 2021 with a total of 64,000 streams now on Spotify.
Different from its perceptible meaning, the song tackles a variety of problems and emotions that are shaped and heightened in response to confinement.
