In the last week of August, the pop-punk princess confirmed that the historical landmark would include her name. Located in Hollywood, California, the Hollywood Walk of Fame is home to more than 2,000 installed stars. These are the names of the personalities who contributed significantly to the entertainment world, whether in films, theaters, or music.

Avril Lavigne and her first Hollywood Walk of Fame visit

After twenty years since her first Walk of Fame visit, Avril Lavigne now has her own embedded star. In an interview with the American media company, Variety, the 37-year-old singer disclosed her first step on the prestigious boulevard.

“My first time coming to L.A., that’s what I did. I walked down the strip and checked out the stars. I took a picture, and I can’t remember [which star] it’s with, but I’m wearing a sweatshirt that says ‘skateboarding is not a crime.'”

Not losing a minute, Lavigne recreated the photo of her 16-year-old self, smiling with another’s star on the ground. Curious about whom that star belongs? Surprisingly enough, she was lying next to the one installed for Tom Cruise!

“Today, I love making music more than ever. I feel so inspired. And I hope that the next 16-year-old from their small town who comes to Hollywood one day, full of hopes and dreams, sees this star and thinks to themself, ‘Oh my god, my name could be there one day, too.’ Because it can. What an amazing 20 years, and I can’t wait for the next 20, bitches! Let’s go!”

Leveling up her game

Numerous awards and nominations, including eight for the Grammys, but the pop-punk princess is much more eager to level up her game. Aside from her latest and seventh studio album, “Love Sux,” we are preparing to set eyes on her upcoming movie derived from one of her most famous songs, “Sk8er Boi.” Avril is yet to tell the general public the specifics, but one thing is guaranteed, several of her musically-oriented friends will appear and collaborate with her.

Avril established herself as worthy of all the awards and recognitions she has received up to this point. Her phenomenal songs Complicated, Sk8er Boi, Girlfriend, and Here’s to Never Growing Up, to name a few, transcended generations. Even though some of these were released decades ago, Avril’s songs still appeared relatable.

With a myriad of young people who grew up listening to her songs, Avril Lavigne deserves to become one of the pop-punk icons.
