Here’s How to Get the Most Out of Boracay

You’ve probably watched countless vlogs, browsed through different IG carousels, and googled price tickets — all for your planned trip to Boracay.

But you kept revising your itinerary because of different reasons. Maybe budget, schedule, and varying versions of “do I deserve this?” dilemma.

That ends now.

Because if you finally wanna cross out Boracay from your bucket list but on a budget, then this article is definitely for you.

From the best budget-friendly hotel to all the must-try foods and activities, let’s explore Boracay the best way possible, step-by-step.

Step 1: Choosing the perfect lounge

Having the perfect vacation always starts with finding the perfect hotel. And my criteria always revolve in four points: cleanliness, proximity to the beach, food/breakfast availability, and affordability.

And boy, was I lucky? Because while searching up hotels, I stumbled upon the ultimate hotel lounge that’s only a 2 to 3-minute walk from the white beach.

Lying in the heart of Station 2, Eurotel is exactly what I’m looking for.

Starting from its lobby, you can already see how accommodating the staff are. And upon entering your room, its clean, aesthetic, and light ambiance engulfs you — signaling the start of a paradise-like vacation in Boracay.

Essential amenities are also provided — bathrobes, toiletries, towels (one for your personal use and one that you can bring to the beach), a television set, coffee/tea, and a hair dryer. Eurotel takes care of all your needs so you can focus on all your wants.

And the best thing about this hotel is that breakfast is already included. Starting at 8 in the morning, feel free to enjoy a buffet full of freshly cooked dishes. They even offer a personalized omelet with different stuffings available for your selection.

Now, you’re probably guessing how much all these perks cost. And I’m going to hold your hand when I say this but their prices are one of the most affordable you can find across all booking platforms. With plenty of rewards and vouchers spanning across different dates, you can book  a room for as low as P1,200/night.

Step 2: Savoring good food

No trip is complete without a food trip, so here are top spots that will surely encapsulate you with Boracay’s delicacies.

Inside the hotel, Eurotel also serves one of the most mouthwatering feasts: Sinugba Bilao, a huge pot of carefully plated cheese-covered fresh oyster (talaba), grilled liempo, chicken, bangus, and buttered shrimp. Pair that with a large bilao of golden-cooked Java rice, this is paradise — one that you can taste.

Outside the hotel, you’re already near the famous D’Mall, a vast ecosystem of gourmets and restaurants. Food stalls here are inspired from different cuisines across the globe. So whether you’re craving international or local food, they’ve got it here.

But the one that caught my palate was Tsokolateria’s beachside comfort food, Honey Garlic Shrimp. Its crispy, golden coating and perfect level of sweetness just prove that in Boracay, too much seafood is never enough.

And to spice things up, Meze Kitchen’s Kalamar Seafood Wrap will bring you into a Mediterranean fantasy. The seafood itself is already seasoned to perfection but partnered with different international spices, you’ll get a life-changing experience. Never have I ever tasted something so deluxe and exotic at the same time.

Now, in terms of dessert, there’s this must-try authentic Italian ice cream that will ultimately cool you down amidst Boracay’s beach weather — Oh Gelato, found near Balabag Wetland Park. Aside from the gelato’s rich texture, its wide variety of flavors are all open for free taste. Yes, free taste! With bestsellers such as Pistachio, Tiramisu, and Pinipig Hazelnut, it’s impossible not to keep coming back.

Just the thought of eating these while watching the sparkling water of Boracay beach is already fulfilling enough. What more if you’re already tasting it?

Step 3: Exploring Boracay’s adventurous side

Aside from our bellies getting full, Boracay also has a way in filling our memories with fun, exciting, and unforgettable moments.

For P700 per person, you can book a tour to visit Malay, Aklan’s Napaan River and explore its magnificent terrain. From lush forestry to crystal clear waterflow, just an afternoon here feels like months’ worth of connecting back to mother nature. A total reset.

Start strong by ziplining and you’ll get to enjoy stunning views from above and feel the ultimate adrenaline rush.

What better way to keep the momentum going than riding an ATV across lumps of land, rocks, and mud? With protective gears and guides on standby, you can go all in knowing that your safety is in good hands.

Just keep in mind to dress accordingly because splashes of mud all over your body is definitely a good sign of adventure.

So to rinse those off, follow it up with water activities like cliff jumping, paddleboarding, kayaking, kawa bath, and so much more. With their monkey swing, you can even fulfill your fantasy to fairy walk just like Anne Curtis. Hands on the swing, tip of the toes by the water, and heart at peace.

From land activities like ATV-riding and ziplining to river activities like monkey swinging and cliff jumping, Boracay truly knows how to give us a total reset — one you most definitely deserve.

Final step: Take it all in

After the zipline rush fades, after the last spoonful of gelato melts on your tongue, and after the sun finally dips into the horizon in that signature Boracay gold — pause. Let the island settle into you.

Because Boracay isn’t just a place you visit; it’s a place that reminds you to breathe. To slow down. To reward yourself for showing up in life even when it’s messy, busy, or uncertain.

You’ve wandered through its quiet corners, its flavors, its adventures. You’ve seen how a budget doesn’t have to limit joy — only redefine it. And now, standing by the shore with sand clinging to your ankles and the night breeze brushing your skin, you realize the real magic of Boracay is simple: you’re here. You made it.

So take it all in — the laughter, the salt, the stillness, the thrill. Let this island be your reset, your reminder, your well‑deserved escape. And when you finally head home, carry a piece of Boracay with you: the part that tells you life is sweeter when you allow yourself moments like this.
