Iriga City is known as the City of Crystal Clear Springs in Camarines Sur as they offers the tourists a lot of available springs to enjoy during their staycation. Mostly, visitors visit Iriga City for this but little did they know that the small community also hides a paradise rich in culture, picturesque sceneries, views and many more.

Irigueños love to accommodate people. They are generous and they are hospitable. In fact, they want everyone, may it be a relative or a stranger to enjoy what their city has to offer. They’re sweet and they love the nature. With these, here are the top 5 to go places in Iriga City, Camarines Sur.

Before going in a travel, Filipinos tend to first come and see holy institutions like chapel, churches, and many more. In our first destination, we have the Inorogan Shrine.

1. Inorogan Shrine

The shrine is located at the top hill of Sto. Domingo, Iriga City and it is stated as one of the miraculous establishments found in the city. According to elders, it houses the image of the Blessed Mother and Her Son dubbed as “Nuestra Señora de Angustia” that is blessed in year 1981 by Pope John Paul.

As time passes by, renovations has been made and now, the shrine is starting to offer every Irigueño a distinctive design and captivating scenic view of Iriga once they reach the shrines’ maximum height.

It may be tiring but it’s all worth it and if ever your stomach starts to growl because of hunger. You can dropby at Kiao Foodies and Milktea House.

2. Kiao Foodies and Milktea House

The store is found at Zone 3, Amatista Street, Godfather Highway, San Nicolas, Iriga City and it provide the constumers a delicious and budget friendly meals. The things that are available in their menu are as follows:

  • Sizzling Platters
  • Ala Carte Meals
  • Silog Meals
  • Burger, Fries and other sides
  • Milktea, Milkshakes, Fruit Sodas, Iced Coffee, Frappes, Lemonade and other drinks

After an hour or two of a fun and filling meal, you can go for a walk again. Our third stop is the Mount Iriga.

3. Mount Iriga

It is also recognize as Mount Asog and similar to Mount Mayon, it is an active volcano. It is located kilometer away from Lake Buhi so, it is not only the Irigueños who enjoys it but also the people of Buhi.

With all these eye-blinding tourist stopping place, Iriga can also offer you Masosu Spring Resort and Ilian Resto Bar and Function Hall.

4. Masosu Spring Resort

The resort is located at Zone 6 Masosu Street, Barangay San Isidro, Iriga City. It is one of the city’s most famous spring resort as their water supply mainly came from the springs of their own Mount Iriga.

As per said by their repetitive costumers, they enjoy the unique coolness of the water there. In fact, it is not only a one pool resort but four — four spring pools available for you to enjoy during your leisure time.

If you are wondering if there are available cottages and rooms in this resort, well the answer is yes.

Enjoy and take your time to relax on their colorful cottages ranging from Php 200.00 – Php 800.00 depending on what size you are going to get.

Rooms

Rooms are only available for overnight stay and it ranges from Php 2,500.00 onwards. The price may vary depending on what room you are going to get and take note that all rooms are air-conditioned and has their own bathroom.

What an affordable resting place, right? Yet, you can also add Ilian Resto Bar and Function Hall to your choices.

5. llian Resto Bar and Function Hall

The bar and function hall is found at Zone 7, Ilian Hill, San Nicolas, Iriga City. It is open at 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM every Monday – Friday and when its Saturday – Sunday, they start operating from 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM.

Visitors, most especially from the neighborhood says that Ilian will give you the “Tagaytay feels or vibe” since when you are at this spot, you may have a chance to view the perfect city lights of Iriga.

Aside from this, you can also attend some of their weekends’ local concerts featuring some of the city’s local bands. Besides, you can rent an available room if you want to stay the night there.
