You can now re-watch the 71st Miss Universe National Costume Show
Are you feeling nostalgic about Miss Universe 2022? Well, you can finally start catching up with all the pageant action once again! On March 13, Miss Universe announced that it will be uploading the national costume presentation on their YouTube channel.
While rewatching and reliving the candidates in their beautiful and colorful costume is definitely fun, however, the surprises doesn’t stop there.

Bringing back the excitement of the competition, Miss Universe opened its voting for Best in National Costume. From February 1 to 15, fans were given the chance to support their favorites and cast their ballots.
As much as we loved Celeste Cortesi’s Darna-inspired national costume, Miss Ukraine Viktoria Apanasenko was proclaimed the winner.
Taking inspiration from the current situation that her country is currently facing, here’s the story behind her inspiring national costume:
“The ‘Warrior of Light’ costume is a personification of the inner strength of Ukrainians, our courage, determination, and love for the freedom that is flowing in our veins. While creating this costume we wanted to put the idea that war cannot break our strength and discolor our hearts. Even blazing, Ukraine will be reborn like a phoenix and will shine with bright rays of kindness and faith.”
A fan favorite since the pageant, the win was both expected and deserving. In trying to send a powerful message to the universe, they could never have made a better choice. Congratulations to you, Miss Ukraine!
