Romance tropes are everywhere. It even became a filter on TikTok. And, if you’re a sucker for reading and watching romance, then you know everything about it. But, for those living under the rock, a romance trope is simply a plot device. It serves as a catalyst for what type of story a reader would expect. It becomes the foundation of the plot as the traits of characters reflect the trope that they represent.

A popular romance trope where two characters treat each other as an arch nemesis, but fall into a romance as the story progresses. This trope indicates that people have already a special someone, fated for them. Loving the idea of soulmates shows how you want to find someone who deeply connects with you. Someone who makes you feel complete and safe. You also firmly believe in fate and easy love.
