Venezuela wins Miss Equality World 2023

The pageant powerhouse has done it again! Congratulations to Sofia Colmenarez of Venezuela for winning the title of Miss Equality World 2023. Succeeding Phimphisa Thanadulkullanata of Thailand, she bested out 12 other candidates during the pageant’s coronation night on August 11 in Bali, Indonesia.

A 33-year-old model and retail manager and is currently based in the Netherlands, Sofia have previously competed in another trans-beauty pageant, Miss International Queen in 2019.

Well-known decorated pageant queen Anne Patricia Lorenzo of the Philippines comes in second by placing as 1st runner-up. She also won several special awards which includes most photogenic, best social media, and best public speaker.

Meanwhile fellow Filipina candidate, Herbie Jumar, finishes in the Top 8 while bagging the special award for Best in Talent.

Completing the Top 5 are Thailand’s Bingbing Litapatra who named is second runner-up, Prazzi D of India as third runner-up, and Đỗ Tây Hà of Vietnam as fourth runner-up.

The second edition of the pageant, Miss Equality World is based in Indonesia and advocates for trans-sister fighting together for equality.

Congratulations to all the winners! Congratulations also to our Filipina queens for raising our country’s flag and doing a phenomenal job.
