The world of the young child is an exciting one. Their brains are forming long before birth, but stimulus after birth truly shapes who they are. From the time babies are born to the age of three, their brains increase three times their birth size. This development happens because of the result of interacting with the world around them. And this interaction includes the people around them speaking with them.

Talking to your babies is beneficial. And here are the reasons why.

Brain development

Did you know that talking to your babies has undeniable benefits? One of them is brain development. They possess larger vocabularies and in addition to that, babies create stronger inter-brain connections as they heard more words. Aside from that, they are likely to have stronger language skills when they are older.

Encourage vocabulary

Talking to your babies gives them a wider vocabulary. Through their development, your child will start using the words they hear you say so it is important to give some thought to the words you use as those are the words your child will learn and will use once they are able to speak.

Communication Development

Talking with your infant can help their language and communication skills develop. The more you talk with your baby, the earlier they are to speak. It is because parents who talk a lot to their young children use many different sounds and words. And when children hear a lot and many different words, it improves their understanding of language. It also increases the number and variety of words that they understand and use.
