These habits include things like “begin with the end in mind” and “seek first to understand, then to be understood.” Covey’s ideas are grounded in principles of fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity. Reading this book helped me to develop a clearer sense of purpose, direction in my life and taught me how to be more proactive in achieving my goals.

Mindset: The New Psychology of Success | Carol S. Dweck

In “Mindset,” Dweck argues that individuals’ beliefs about their abilities and potential can have a significant impact on their success in life. Dweck identifies two mindsets. A fixed mindset, in which individuals believe their abilities are predetermined and unchangeable. Growth mindset, in which individuals believe they can develop their abilities through effort and practice. Reading this book helped me to recognize the limitations of a fixed mindset and inspired me to cultivate a growth mindset. It also helped me to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and to approach failures as learning experiences.
