Regine Velasquez slams bashers complaining about her free mini-concert on YouTube
Regine Velasquez has been holding free live mini-concerts on YouTube on an occasional basis, as of late.
She held her recent one last Thursday, September 23.
There, Asia’s Songbird performed songs by Nina, The Carpenters, as well as some original songs.
On Twitter the same night, she made the announcement to her followers, saying how the concert starts at 8 PM.
However, some bashers complained about Regine holding a free digital mini-concert on YouTube.
This caught the attention of the singer-actress, prompting her to address them in a tweet, saying,
“Disclaimer: ‘yong mga makakapal ang mukhang magreklamo tapos [nag-]tweet pa, UTANG NA LOOB wag na kayong manood!!”
Additionally, she defended her husband, singer Ogie Alcasid, who lends his helping hand whenever she goes live.
“Para ang laki nag binabayad [niyo] sa asawa ko ha!!!! Libre lang kaya walang basagan ng trip!!!!”
Despite the criticisms, Regine pushed through with her live stream, which currently has over 28,000 views, as of writing.
In addition, Regine currently appears as a host and performer in the musical variety show ASAP Natin ‘To.
She has made appearances for the program ever since her transfer to ABS-CBN from GMA-7 last October 2018.
Moreover, she became a judge for the singing competition Idol Philippines and starred in the 2019 Cinema One Originals film Yours Truly, Shirley.
Previously, she co-headlined a concert called Unified alongside Sarah Geronimo last February 2020.
In recent times, she held an online concert called Freedom last February 2021, performing hit songs by international artists like Britney Spears and Billie Eilish, as well as local hitmakers like Ben&Ben and Rivermaya.
