Red Hot Chili Peppers gets their own Walk of Fame star

Six-time Grammy-winning rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers finally receives their own Walk of Fame star in Hollywood on Thursday, March 31.

The band was honored as hometown heroes as their star was revealed at the infamous Hollywood landmark. Actor Woody Harrelson joined the band during the induction and delivered a short speech at the podium.

However, their former guitarist Jack Sherman was unable to witness this momentous occasion. He passed away in August 2020 at the age of 64.

They posted a photo of their brand new star on their social media accounts with the caption “To our fans we love you forever.” Their star is also the 2,717th one in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The band also unveiled Unlimited Love, their 12th studio album, on Friday, April 1. The album is released through Warner Records. Moreover, guitarist John Frusciante, who left in 2009 and rejoined in 2019, reunited with the band in the making of the album.

Red Hot Chili Peppers is also responsible for the hit songs Californication, Otherside, Snow, and many more. The band is currently composed of Anthony Kiedis (lead vocals), Flea (bass), Chad Smith (drums), and John Frusciante (guitars). Formed in 1983, the band is also recognized as one of the best-selling bands of all time.
