Postnuptial Shoot Goal: Wedding amid Taal Volcano Alert level 3
The Taal Volcano experienced a quick phreatomagmatic burst over the weekend, raising the alert level to three. When everyone was shocked by the volcano’s eruption, the same goes for Alvin and Blessie. But with a twist.
It happened to be their once-in-a-lifetime experience as they tied the knot at 6:30 AM, March 26, an hour after the volcano’s plumes.
Postnuptial shoot as Taal Volcano Erected
The photographer, John Carlo Bagas Avelida, took a fast postnuptial shoot that loved by the newlywed couple and the netizen. The photos turned out beautifully.
“Taal ka lang, mag papakasal kami” Blessie said.
During the wedding and the postnuptial shoot, it was then followed by strong volcanic plumes. Thus, it ended as soon as possible for everyone’s safety.
Even with the fear that the volcano may erupt again, the breathtaking shots still captured the thrill and joy of the newlyweds.
Update on Taal Volcano
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded two phreatomagmatic events from Taal Volcano. The first one is at 4:34 AM and the second is at 5:04 AM on Sunday, March 27.
“These events produced 800 meters and 400 meter-tall plumes from the main crater that drifted southwest,” said Phivolcs.
In the meantime, the volcano and its adjacent areas are still under Alert Level 3 (magmatic unrest). This means there is a probability of a magmatic intrusion at the main crater that could trigger a second eruption.
Phivolcs has ordered the evacuation of Taal Volcano Island and the high-risk barangays of Bilibinwang and Banyaga in Agoncillo and Boso-boso, Gulod and eastern and Bugaan East in Laurel, Batangas because of the possibility of pyroclastic clouds and a volcanic tsunami should the eruptions become stronger.
There’s no update yet if Philvolcs will lower the alert level during the weekdays. But it is still best to wait and follow the authorities and Philvocls announcements. Prevent leisure hangout near the area as much as possible.
