Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra welcome first baby via surrogate
Jonas Brothers musician Nick Jonas and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra are now parents. They made the surprising news on Friday, heading to their own Instagram pages to announce that they welcomed their first baby.
“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family,”
a caption both of them used.
Surrogacy is a type of pregnancy in which a woman bears and gives birth to a baby for someone who is unable to have children.
The couple’s thrilling news came only a week after Chopra, stated in an interview with “Vanity Fair” that she and Jonas wanted children.
“They’re a big part of our desire for the future,” she said. “By God’s grace when it happens, it happens.”
As of now, they haven’t revealed the baby’s name or gender. Although TMZ later reported that the baby is a girl.
Chopra, 39, and Jonas, 29, married in India in 2018.
The pair met in 2017 and made their relationship public in 2018. After only four months of dating, they were engaged.
