Netherlands wins Miss International Queen 2023

It’s definitely an historical debut for the Netherlands as its representative, Solange Dekker wins the Miss International Queen 2023 title. Becoming the first Dutch woman to win the pageant, the 27-year-old production company owner from Amsterdam bested out 21 other candidates.

Succeeding outgoing titleholder, Fuchsia Anne Ravena of the Philippines, the pageant’s coronation night took place on June 24 at the Tiffany’s Show Pattaya in Thailand.

With a height of 183 cm (6 feet 1 inches), Solange didn’t only tower the competition with her presence, but she also had the wit to charm the judges. When asked about what she would want to create during the final question, she replied:

“I will create an environment that is not only safe but thriving for misgendered people, transgender people, everybody who’s a minority, everybody who has been spit upon, who is the backbone of society but everybody who deserves to be equal. Everybody who has always seen as someone less. I know exactly the feeling how that is. Someone who is considered a loser but people like us, we are diamonds that are just covered in dirt, waiting to sprouse. This is the legacy that I would create for a new world.”

Singapore’s Qatrisha Kamsir as well as USA’s Melony Munro fills the Top 3, finishing as first and second runners-up, respectively. Meanwhile, Philippine bet Lars Pacheco finishes her fight for a back-to-back win by placing in the Top 6.
