Music genre that would help you sleep faster within 15 minutes

Have you ever experienced listening to music hoping that it will make you sleep, but instead, it only leads to staying up all night vibing to it or even making you create scenarios in your head then overthink?

If you often experience that, let me help you with it by picking the right music genre for you that would make you sleep faster.

But, before that, allow me to explain how music affects your sleep and the techniques you must try to condition yourself first.

How does music affect your sleep?

Studies and experts say that listening to the right music every night can make you fall asleep faster. It provides a soothing effect that can tune out your thoughts and reduce anxiety before you sleep.

It’s the music tempo that affects your sleep. According to sleep expert Michael Breus, Ph.D., author of The Sleep Doctor’s Diet Plan: Simple Rules for Losing Weight While You Sleep, “Music with a rhythm of about 60 beats a minute helps people fall asleep.”

Sleep Conditioning Technique

First, you have to stop browsing social media an hour before you sleep. Then, open your Spotify and turn on the “sleep timer” for at least 15 minutes.

Then follow the 4-7-8 technique by Dr. Andrew Weil to help you regulate your breathing and minimize your worries when you lie down – inhaling for 4 seconds, holding your breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling for 8 seconds.

Partner it with the best music playlist under the recommended genre below to make it more efficient.

However, you have to take note that this technique may be efficient for some, while others may not. You have to follow what suits you best. But, don’t worry if you fail to follow this at first; music got your back.
