I’ll Never Go
“I’ll Never Go” is arguably the most talked about theme song of Erik Santos. The song served as the official soundtrack for the 2007 hit film “One More Chance,” starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. It can be said that the music significantly contributed to the success of the film, which led to the release of a sequel entitled “A Second Chance,” in 2015.
Suddenly It’s Magic
Suddenly It’s Magic was a duet of Erik and Angeline Quinto. It was the official soundtrack of the movie with the same title last 2012 starring Erich Gonzales and the Thai actor, Mario Maurer. The songs as audiences said complimented the innocent romance story of the two young characters.
Iisa Pa Lamang
Iisa Pa Lamang was part of Erik’s album, “The Erik Santos Collection” (Timeless Movie and TV Theme Songs) released in 2013. It served as one of the soundtracks for the Julia Montes and Coco Martin–led Philippine drama television series “Walang Hanggan.”
Ikaw was one of the most classic television series theme songs of Erik Santos. A year after its release, the song served as the music for the Filipino drama series “Ina, Kapatid, Anak.” The song’s narrative was ideal for the heartbreaking family drama that the award-winning ABS-CBN artists had worked on. Some of these include Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador, Janice de Belen, and Cherry Pie Picache.
May Bukas Pa
One of Erik’s theme songs, May Bukas Pa, is also the soundtrack to a show of the same name. It is a 2009 drama television series from the Philippines that Dreamscape Entertainment produced. The song’s sentimental lyrics and the young Zaijan Jaranilla’s (the series’ protagonist) excellent acting were both remarkable.
Maging Sino Ka Man
Maging Sino Ka Man was used as the theme song of the series with the same title. A 2006 Philippine melodrama romantic television series directed by FM Reyes Romilla Balmaceda and Mae Czarina Cruz-Alviar. The series mainly starred John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Anne Curtis, and Sam Milby.
Erik Santos’ love and passion for music reflect every song he records. If we were to listen to them, each could probably pass as an official soundtrack. And like every song that he has done – that would be another #iconic.
