Miss World announces date and venue of 2023 finals
Namaste! Miss World 2023 officially announces that its grand finals will be taking place on December 16 in India. Happening at the India International Convention and Expo Centre in Delhi, Karolina Bielawska of Poland will be crowning her successor.
The Miss World Organization formally made the announcement through a video promo on September 28.

Earlier this year, the Miss World Organization already announced that India will be organizing the pageant’s 71st edition. Stating that it was chosen due to its “rich cultural heritage, its commitment to promoting diversity, and its passion for empowering women.”
This is the second time that country will be hosting the pageant; the first being in 1996.
In the weeks leading up to the coronation, the candidates will be participating in different pre-pageant activities. Describing it as a “festival of glamor, fashion, talent, and sport”, this refers to the fast-track challenges for the semifinals.
Furthermore, Miss World 2023 aims to celebrate its ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ mission by promoting charitable causes through a series of philanthropic activities.
A total number of 130 nations will be joining this year’s competition. This includes Philippine representative Gwendolyne Fourniol. The 22-year-old model and teacher will aim to bring home the country its second Miss World crown after Megan Young in 2013.
