Beatrice Gomez, the victor of the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant, just broke up with her girlfriend DJ Kate Jagdon.
The downfall of a lovely couple
The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Interview Challenge last August 30 was the first time Beatrice introduced Kate to the public as her girlfriend.
The beautiful past lovers have been open to the public about their relationship on their respective social media accounts. However, their Instagram posts together currently appear to have been taken down.
Kate confirms the end of their relationship
Kate verified that she and Bea have ended a relationship of more than six years. She shared this through an Instagram story on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
The performance DJ and entrepreneur let everyone know that she wasn’t comfortable with publicizing her personal life.
“These past few weeks have been the most difficult time of my personal life. It was a conscious decision to keep quiet, after all this is a personal matter and I chose my privacy above everything else.”
She continued by confirming the news,
“Bea and I have parted ways. I am simply taking this step to move forward and go on with my life. Nothing more.”
The reason why Kate had to address the breakup in public
The ex-lover of the beauty queen said she had to address the issue “before rumors and falsifications get out of hand”.
She then thanked her family and friends for giving her support amid “this difficult time” and on her “road to healing”.
Despite their saddening breakup, she still wished Bea “the best of luck in her journey”.
Beatrice will represent the Philippines in the 2021 Miss Universe pageant, set in Israel this December 2021.
