Jake Cuenca’s reaction to Kylie Verzosa’s steamy scenes in My Husband, My Lover
Kylie Verzosa confessed something about her boyfriend, actor Jake Cuenca. It is that she was initially scared for him to see the trailer of her upcoming movie My Husband, My Lover.
Jake Cuenca’s reaction
The hailed Miss International 2016 said that she did not know how Jake would react. She even shared that she herself was shocked when she first saw the trailer. It is filled with a lot of intimate scenes with her leading men Marco Gumabao and Adrian Alandy.
In an interview with Push, she reiterated,
“Actually takot ako nung una kasi nung lumabas na medyo na-shock din ako sa trailer so medyo natakot ako sa reaction niya.”
(Actually, at first, I got scared because when it came out I was shocked with the trailer. I was mortified to see his reaction.)
Surprisingly though, the former beauty queen shared that Jake was actually really supportive.
“He was so proud of the movie, of the work I’ve done. So sobrang suwerte ko na sobrang supportive niya talaga sa career ko and all the decisions I make.”
(He was so proud of the movie, of the work I’ve done. So I am very lucky that he’s supportive of my career and all the decisions I make.)
Kylie still wishes for Jake to not watch it
However, Kylie said that she might just ask her boyfriend not to watch those steamy scenes she had.
“Hindi na lang niya papanuorin those scenes kasi it’s hard. Tao din tayo so nahihirapan ang tao manuod. But he’s so supportive and he doesn’t give me a hard time. And proud siya ginagawa ko.”
(I want him to not watch those scenes because it’s hard. We’re only human so he may have a hard time watching it. But he’s so supportive and he doesn’t give me a hard time. And he’s proud of what I do.)
Kylie feels thankful for the challenge brought by the movie
The premise of the movie is about a woman who is torn between her husband and her lover. Kylie sees this as very unique.
“The story is unique (because) in some (parts of it) her husband becomes her lover and her lover becomes her husband and I think (that’s one of the) very interesting twists (of the) story.”
Kylie confessed portraying her role was quite a challenge for her. This is due to the fact that she has never cheated in a relationship and has never experienced being cheated on.
“My character wants everything. As Alice gusto niya talaga lahat. She wants her husband and she wants her lover. If she can have both then it’s a perfect world. But as Kylie hindi ko kaya. That’s why naman na-enjoy ko ‘yung character kasi it makes me explore things na hindi ko naman ma-e-explore in real life.”

My Husband, My Lover features Kylie Verzosa, Marco Gumabao, Adrian Alandy, and Cindy Miranda. It will stream on Vivamax starting November 26.
