Miss Earth 2023 sets finals on December 22

Months after releasing its initial schedule, Miss Earth officially confirms the date and venue for this year’s finals. Previously slated on December 18, the pageant’s much awaited coronation will now take place on December 22 in Vietnam.

The Miss Earth Organization made the announcement through a social media post on September 11.

According to the post, the competition will formally begin on November 28. In the three weeks leading up to the finals, pre-pageant events as well as the preliminary activities will be held.

The Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City will serve as the coronation venue where reigning Miss Earth 2022, Mina Sue Choi of Korea will be crowning her successor.

A joint venture between Carousel Productions and TNA Entertainment, this will be the second time since 2010 that ‘the land of the ascending dragon’ will be hosting the pageant.

Miss Earth 2023 will also take on the theme of “ME loves Trees”. This aims to raise awareness on the importance of conservation and protection of our tress, owing to its tremendous impact on human society.

An estimate of 80 delegates from all corners of the planet will compete for the prestigious title. Yllana Marie Aduana, a 25-year-old model and medical laboratory scientist will represent the country at the pageant.

Vying to win the Philippines its fifth Miss Earth crown, she hopes to follow in the footsteps of Karla Henry (2008), Jamie Herrell (2014), Angelia Ong (2015), and Karen Ibasco (2017).
