Owners Jessica Kier Sacdalan and Ma. Kristina Angela Llanes shared with us how they put up this small business together with the go-getters in mind.

“Coffee is a staple for every household. It is simple and yet so complex. We enjoy quality coffee and we seek to share it with others while they are in the comforts of their home. [We] want people to drink quality coffee through grab and go bottles. [We] also advocate awareness on local beans, we source the finest single-origin beans of the Philippines and we plan to introduce it to people little by little.”

Jess and Kai know how coffee affects a person’s mood for the entire day. Given the circumstances we’re faced today, a lot of us really need some uplifting, so they thought of doing so in their own way.

“I wanted to use Lift because coffee basically elevates the drinker’s mood and push the person to keep going. Lift also is one of the main forces needed for an aircraft to fly. For a person how loves coffee and flying, the brand name Lift fits perfectly.”

Jess had to undergo a drastic shift in her career because of the pandemic but somehow, their Cold Brew drinks have helped her cope so she wants others to be able to have that encouragement as well.

“Our coffee also aims to fuel the drinker to be more productive and to accomplish their tasks even if they are working from home. We want Lift Cold Brew to be their ‘buddy’ to get through the day not just on workdays but on rest days as well. We want our cold brew to help them feel accomplished as much as it does for us.”

Kai, on the other hand, seeks comfort from coffee like most of us, “There’s something special about cold brew coffee. It’s uplifting and comforting especially during these challenging times. Since cafes are temporarily closed due to the pandemic we just want to share with them the same comfort cold brew has given to us in the safety of their homes.”

We may be an online shop for now, but we also pursue to perfect quality service starting from customer care, bean sourcing, bottling, packaging, up until our bottles reach the customer’s doorstep. Our goal is overall customer satisfaction.”

Kai also delved into a deeper purpose of their business, “We have this project called the Lift Local Project, in which we want to raise awareness mostly on our single-origin coffee beans. We’ll be catering different single-origin beans under the Lift Local variant so that people from the Metro would be able to experience it. This project also supports and lifts those who are involved in making coffee, starting with the farmers to the producers.”
