Kristoffer Martin still a Kapuso; renews his contract with GMA Network
The actor-singer Kristoffer Martin will remain a Kapuso. This comes after signing the contract with GMA Artist Center at GMA Network.
Kristoffer Martin considers his role as Johnny in the Philippine adaptation of the Koreanovela series, Endless Love.
In a span of 11 years, he remained loyal to his home network. Kristoffer was interviewed at the grand virtual media conference on the morning of June 29. He was asked how will he describe his last 11 years as a Kapuso. He also answered,
“Ako happy ako! Roller coaster kasi siya. Ganun naman talaga sa industry roller coaster talaga, pero magfo-focus ka dun kasi talaga sa good things.”
(Me, I’m happy! It is a roller coaster. Actually, that’s really how the industry works—like a roller coaster. However, you will really focus on the good things.)
He also whole-heartedly thanked GMA-7 which contributed a lot to the award that he received. This is in the 30th PMPC Star Awards for Television. He won the trophy for Best Single Performance by an Actor.
Kristoffer Martin added:
“Lahat ng projects na nagawa ko kasi, alam ko nabigyan ko ng mark, e. Tapos sabi ko nga si GMA lang nagbigay ng awards sa akin–bukod tangi, bukod tangi sa GMA ko nakuha ko ‘yung award ko. Happy ako sa mga binibigay nila na projects talaga. Sabi ko nga lagi kong ibibigay talaga ‘yung best ko no matter what the role is, gagampanan ko ‘yung role kasi ibinigay nila sa akin, ipinagkatiwala nila sa akin.”
(All of the projects that I did, I know I left a mark. Also, as I said, GMA was the only one who gave me awards. I got the award because of them. I am really happy with the projects that they give me. As I mentioned, I will always give my best what role is given to me. I will do my role because they gave it to me; they entrusted it to me.)
The Kapuso actor also focused to achieve the longevity of his career as an actor. He also promised that he will do better in his job with his mother network. He said,
“Ine-expect ko na mga next few years ang role ko tatay na or tito, joke [laughs]. Longevity talaga, longevity talaga [habol ko]. Kasi sabi ko ‘pag mahal mo na kasi ‘yung trabaho , ‘yun kasi ‘yung focus mo, kasi ako hindi ko nakikita sarili ko [na] aalis sa industry na ‘to.”
(I expect that in the next few years, my role is already a dad or an uncle, kidding [laughs]. Longevity is really [what I want]. Because I said, if you love your job, it will be your focus. I don’t really see myself leaving this industry.)
He continued,
“Talagang, hanggang sa [ano man mangyari] nandito lang ako, kasi nga mahal ko ‘yung trabaho ko, mahal ko na ‘tong ginagawa ko. Mahal ko na ‘yung craft, so I’ll do everything the best I can para mag-stay pa [and] to do better, mas maging better every project.”
(Really, no matter what happens, I’m here, because I love my job. I already love what I am doing. I already love the craft, so I’ll do everything—the best I can to stay and do better. Do better every project.)
