Kylie Verzosa and Albert Martinez will star as a housemaid and her employer who start an extramarital affair. A sneak peek can be found in the first trailer of The Housemaid released on Wednesday.

The Housemaid is a Philippine adaptation of the acclaimed South Korean film of the same title by Im Sang-soo. The local remake was directed by Ramon Perez Jr.

As in the original, the Viva Films production centers on the titular character, Daisy. Due to the affair with her married boss, Daisie gets in danger.

In the trailer, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa can be seen in her most daring role yet. The beauty queen shared several intimate scenes with veteran Actor Albert Martinez. She can also be seen dealing with the women of the household, including the pregnant wife.

The Housemaid also stars Louise Delos Reyes, Alma Moreno, Elia Eliano, and Jaclyn Jose. In an exclusive interview with Lifestyle Inquirer, she shared how veteran actors like Jaclyn Jose and Albert Martinez have helped her.

I was just so amazed by them. Miss Jaclyn is straightforward. She tells you, “Parang, di ka magaling dyan (It seems you weren’t so good there),” so you’re always on your toes. You listen to her comments, and it’s even an honor to receive them with her years in the industry. Si Sir Albert, maalaga siya. (Sir Albert is nurturing.)

Kylie also mentioned how drastic the differences are with her as a person. According to her, this further improved her acting skills.

I really like this character. It was really so difficult, though. It wasn’t easy because she was not me at all. I even went through my theater coach about it, and she asked me if I’m sure about the role.

The erotic thriller will stream starting September 20 on VivaMax. Personally, I’m excited about it after watching the trailer. It looks promising and very unique from other Filipino films in the past few years. It is a blend of erotica and thriller.
