I use Vans Old Skool on a daily basis

We all know that our OOTDs always matter especially for those who always go out to go to work or even just have fun with friends. Personally, I don’t have many types of apparel that I buy repeatedly. Styles fluctuate, trends come and go, and I occasionally crave a new look. The Vans Old Skool, on the other hand, is an exception.

For the past decade, I’ve purchased pair after pair of these shoes. When one pair starts to appear to be worn out, I go online and order some more. It’s the perfect pair of canvas shoes for me, and in many aspects, one of the most perfect shoes ever.

From comfort to durability, it checks all of the boxes. Furthermore, it does it in a fashionable package that is extremely versatile in terms of what it may be worn with.

Why Vans Old Skool?

The first thing you notice with any pair of sneakers is what they look like. Vans Old Skool has a style that manages to be both instantly recognizable and super minimalist. Essentially, we have a fairly plain-looking canvas shoe, with several design elements that take it up a notch.

The first is the side stripe, which gives the shoe a streamlined appearance. In the way it focuses your gaze along the side of the shoe, it’s akin to a Nike Swoosh.

The contrast stitching is another design element that provides a lot of rigidity to the garment. Contrast is prevalent throughout the shoes. The sole, laces, stitching, and stripe are all one color on a simple background.

As a result, we have a shoe that can be worn with almost anything. It looks great with jeans, sweatpants, or chinos. It can also be wonderfully paired with slacks or a suit to give your next formal ensemble a more casual feel.
