Village Pipol just got bigger! The first-ever VP Choice Awards finally happened with ABS-CBN’s Ultimate Bidaman winner Jin Macapagal and GMA Network’s It-girl Ashley Ortega hosting the event. This year’s edition features Hello Love Goodbye‘s big-time win. Presented on January 23, 2020 at the Casino Filipino Manila Bay, VPCA recognized the prime in supreme in three major categories. This includes: Travel, Lifestyle and Entertainment.

Hailed as a star-studded gathering, Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Jai Asuncion, Agassi Ching, Darren Espanto, Mimiyuuuh and Ken Chan attended the event among others. The event also featured a tight competition among all nominees in each category. Online voting started on December 5 and ended on December 30 at exactly 11:59PM. Within a span of three days into the voting, the ceremony’s Facebook page reached an all-time high in terms of social media engagement reach.
Aside from online voting, VPCA also featured votes from a panel of experts and Village Pipol’s editorial team. The panel of judges includes fashion designer and celebrity stylist Chynna Mamawal, movie director RC delos Reyes, board-certified dermatologist Dr. Homer Cudel and tech blogger (TechPinas.com) Mark Macanas. Editor-in-chief Jim Zamora and PR & Advertising Head Josh Austria selected their top picks as part of the editorial team.
