Tahanan Scents was birthed by three friends, Macoy Infante, Angel Beltran, and Jhade Reyes, in Zoom kumustahan as they were discussing how they want to go about the quarantine productively. Seeing that they share a common denominator in their interest in all things that smell good, they came up with an exciting idea for a small business!

“If we’re just to stay indoors 24/7, it has to be a place where we can enjoy. So okay, we’re convinced that we will do our own room and linen spray. So we don’t have to purchase elsewhere and we’re sure of the quality.”

In the process, they figured they can’t just be another room and linen spray. And this pandemic taught us them be more extra — in cleanliness, and in sanitation.

“So we turned our product into a room and linen Anti-bacterial spray. A product that can keep your home smelling fresh and clean, but also can deodorize and sanitize.”

Tahanan Scents was the most sensible name to call it as it was literally conceptualized and brought to life while they are all in the comforts of their own homes.

Feeling sentimental, one of them described their products as a constant reminder of a safe place for them, a place of love, and a place where great ideas are born!

Aside from the potential profit they are seeing for Tahanan Scents, they were eager to make it a platform where they can extend help in the way that they can to fellow Filipinos who are struggling right now, “It wasn’t just a business for us, since, during that time we were brainstorming, we’re all blessed and thankful to have kept our job amidst the pandemic. We want to pay it forward. And we thought of extending some help to those who wanted to earn extra, so we decided to open it to resellers. Any amount they will earn from selling our products could help them or they could save it for future needs. “

Standing by the mantra that every cloud has a silver lining, these three friends aim to maximize their capabilities even in a challenging landscape to be able to spread positivity among others.

“We want to emphasize that we are all experiencing the same storm, but we are not on the same boat. So if you are in a more stable place, maybe you can extend a hand, by giving others an opportunity. Those who have less in life, just need one opportunity for them to grow and to start working on their dreams. Who knows, it’s us who can pave the way.”

For every bottle purchased, a portion of it will go a long way. It can help the homeless, those who are under charitable institutions or it can even help send a child to school. To date, they already have 2 scholars. One under Bantay Edukasyon of ABS-CBN Foundation and the other is under Project Pearls.

“We’re thankful for all those who have purchased our products because we were able to fulfill our advocacy. We can’t believe that we just launched last July 12, 2020 and we were able to give two kids a fair chance for a better future. We’re just in awe of God’s grace. He is blessing us more than what we expected and we are just sharing it to others.”
