CorePC or Windows 12 excites with potential AI-powered features

Rumors are spreading online and they are saying that Microsoft is trying to create a “modernized” version of its operating system. Hence, the upcoming Windows 12 features may include, you guessed it, the new craze in town, artificial intelligence.

Well, Microsoft has been working closely with OpenAI, implementing ChatGPT into its services. In addition, the company codenamed it CorePC according to Windows Central.

Windows Central recently reported on the latest developments for the next Windows OS, saying that Microsoft has been trying to make Windows more modular and customizable.

In order to suit various devices, a more modular OS may add or remove specific features. Just think about how some devices will not support Win32 apps, but desktops PCs do.

A CorePC version for non-Win32 devices may remove support for Win32. This is so that it could operate more efficiently. It acts as one of the CorePC features that may be useful for businesses and schools, making the upcoming operating system more simple to use.

Based on the sources of Windows Central, Microsoft is already testing this feature. In addition, it allegedly makes the upcoming OS “roughly 60-75% smaller than Windows 11 SE.”

Nonetheless, Gizchina says CorePC may require a minimum RAM of 8GB, which is reasonable. The new operating system may divide its components into several partitions. Other existing operating systems including iOS and Android already have this feature.

CorePC may update quicker once it does the same. The updating of the operating system without interrupting device usage is made easier due to how it prevents users from accessing the system files

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates announced that “the age of AI has begun” in his seven-page report. That means Microsoft knows it must adapt to artificial intelligence.

As a result, one of the most important CorePC features is AI integration. It would allow the OS to view what’s on your screen and suggest actions.
