One of the stars you should watch out for is GMA’s Claire Castro. She is the daughter of ’90s stars Diego Castro and Raven Villanueva.
Eyeing the role of kontrabida
The actress joined the Network in October 2018, stating that she has always eyed the role of an antagonist or a kontrabida.
However, instead of being the villain herself, she had the firsthand experience of being slapped by Gina Alajar.
The slap that shocked all the actors
Glaiza de Castro is the lead Star of the series, Nagbabagang Luha, produced by GMA. She shared how she thinks one of the most hurtful scenes was when Gina Alajar’s character slapped Claire’s.
Glaiza shared a behind-the-scenes video on her Instagram account. According to her, she and her co-actors Mike Tan and Rayver Cruz were shocked when the veteran actress slapped Claire. In fact, this exact moment got caught on camera.
The second video is a zoomed version of the first one. Glaiza suddenly covered her mouth due to the shock which can be seen in the footage. On the other hand, Mike abruptly closed his eyes but immediately checks on Claire.
Meanwhile, in the third video, Rayver can be seen subtly sighing then checks up on Claire after the slap.
The intensity of Gina Alajar’s performance according to Glaiza
“Yung nagulat din kami nila @imiketan at @rayvercruz sa nangyari sa eksena pero kailangang mag stay in character… Sa totoo lang, isa ito sa mga pinaka masakit na eksenang ginawa namin.”See Also
(This is when Mike Tan, Rayver Cruz, and I were shocked because of what happened in the scene but we have to stay in character. In all honesty, this is one of the most painful scenes that we have done.)
The Encantadia alumnae also detailed how she pitied Claire but also added that she needed to learn from this kind of experience.
“Sobrang awang awa kami kay @clairevcastro, pero kailangan matuto ni Cielo 😅 As always sarap ka eksena ni Direk @ginalajar 🙌🏻 Posting more BTS soon pampa good vibes kaya tumutok lang sa huling dalawang linggo ng #NagbabagangLuha 🔥😭.”
(We pittied Claire so much but she needed to learn from it. As always, it was a pleasure working with Director Gina Alajar. Posting more BTS soon for good vibes, so please stay tuned for the last two weeks of #NagbabagangLuha)
