Black Mirror Season 6 to drop in June on Netflix

Finally! After four long years of waiting, Black Mirror Season 6 will finally be released this June on Netflix. This hit series by creator Charlie Brooker has been famous for its well-written and exceptionally original concepts of the show. It features dark and twisted episodes converged with a high-technology timeline that previews real-life experiences.

So, what should we expect on this season?

According to the creator himself

In an interview with Brooker with Netflix Tudum, he said that Black Mirror shows stories that are entirely different from one another and keeps surprising its viewers as well as the creators.

He also said that “Consequently, this time, alongside some of the more familiar Black Mirror tropes we’ve also got a few new elements, including some I’ve previously sworn blind the show would never do, to stretch the parameters of what a Black Mirror episode even is. The stories are all still tonally Black Mirror through-and-through — but with some crazy swings and more variety than ever before.”

The Season 6 trailer started with the song “I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire,” and previews a glimpse of what should we expect in the next episodes. It features ‘Breaking Bad’ star Aaron Paul on a spacecraft, Paapa Essiedu clothed in a white faux fur jacket. It also showed Annie Murphy in what seems to be wearing a suit, and later on a disordered cheerleader outfit, and more of tech and civilizations going crazy.

Aside from Paul, Eddsiedu, and Murphy, there will be also Zazie Beetz, Josh Hartnett, Kate Mara, Danny Ramirez, Clara Rugaard, Auden Thornton, Anjana Vasan, Salma Hayek Pinault, Samuel Blenkin, Ben Barnes, Daniel Portman, John Hannah, Himesh Patel, Michael Cera, Monica Dolan, Myha’la Herrold, Rob Delaney, Rory Culkin, and Zazie Beetz.

Upon watching the trailer, it seems that this will be darker than previous seasons with unpleasant endings. This will still contain great life-like stories, that will elicit dramatic twists on how we become more parallel and dependent on technology since the pandemic started.
