P-Pop hitmaker BGYO made it to the prestigious list of Grammy’s bands and artists that best exemplifies the diverse pop Asian sound.

On Friday, May 12, Grammy published a list article titled Get To Know The Many Sounds Of Asian Pop. The site aimed to provide an overview of acts that embody the many facets of Asian music. This is behind the struggle to achieve mainstream success due to what Grammy cited as encountering “stereotyping, exoticism, and othering.”

In the list, BGYO is the sole representative of Filipino sound due to its contribution to promulgating the P-Pop genre. Other acts included are Car, The Garden; Lexie Liu, So!YoON!, PRETZELLE, Baek Yerin, Phum Viphurit, Sexy Zone, Tyson Yoshi, and MIN.
