(Finally, it will happen. I wouldn’t be able to do this without those who streamed ‘Sigurado,’ my very first single and up to now, my album. Thank you so so much. You are my inspiration.)
How Belle relates to her song ‘Rise’
The repertoire of the actress is expected to include the seven tracks from Daylight. It includes the self-empowerment anthem Rise, which she said reflects her journey so far in showbiz. As she told ABS-CBN News,
“All throughout my years here in showbiz, I feel like each and every step I take, I’m rising.”
“Sobrang, grabe (This is so awesome), naka-relate ako sa (I relate so much to) ‘Rise.’ It’s also my journey. Actually, it’s not just me, it applies to each and every one of us. We’re all on the rise. We’re all trying to get by each and every day, trying to look for hope, trying to get that inspiration.”
Rise was written by Jayda, and aside from it, the Star Pop-produced album also includes other tracks. Sigurado, For Your Eyes Only, Tanging Dahilan, With You, Rainy Days, and Nights of December.
Throughout the virtual gathering on Friday, Belle expressed her gratitude to the lyricists and composers. The young singer credited them as instrumental to another dream of hers coming true.
“Ngayon pa lang talaga nagsi-sink in sa akin. I’m just so glad to be given this opportunity. Sobrang natutuwa ako, kasi ang tagal ko nang pinapangarap ‘to.”
(It’s just starting to sink in. I’m just so glad to be given this opportunity. I am so happy because I have dreamed of this for so long.)
