ALOHA, BITCH!!! Bretman Rock finally has his own MTV reality series!

The baddest bitch of all, Bretman Rock finally has his own MTV reality series! An exclusive look at all aspects of the content creator’s life, MTV’s Following: Bretman Rock premiered Monday on MTV’s YouTube channel. It provides an unfiltered day-in-the-life look at Bretman, as well as his family and friends. Of course, it’s humorous. However, it also shows Bretman’s struggle coming to grips with his father’s passing.

Bretman Rock finally has his own MTV reality series!

The Hawaii-based Filipino Youtube sensation has been dreaming to be a reality star ever since his childhood. And, now his dream has finally come true! Taking his viewers through his personal and family life, the show also features his sister Princess Mae, her daughter Cleo and son Ezekiel; plus his mother and cousin Kieffer. In case you didn’t know, Bretman and Princess were born and raised in Cagayan, Philippines until he turned seven years old. They migrated to Hawaii afterward.

No flashy parties, influencer collaborations, or cameos; and for the most part, despite his status as a beauty influencer, Bretman didn’t glam up throughout the episodes. The show will surely take you on chaotically funny car rides with his friends, scuffles with his sister, emotional moments with his mother, and even the heavy aftermath of his father’s recent passing. All of which MTV filmed both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Capturing Bretman’s real life.

In an interview with Nylon, Bretman admitted that the idea to base the show in Hawaii came from him, saying that he wanted to capture his most authentic life, at home with his real friends and family.

“I feel like, before my first meeting with MTV, I told them that I wanted the show in Hawaii. A lot of times when I told them that, it kind of got pushed back because of budgeting. Obviously, it’s just harder to throw them on the Island, but I thought it was so important to capture what my real life is because there aren’t many influencers in Hawaii — especially influencers that live the island life.”

“People think that our lives here are the same as in LA and they’re really not, and it’s not because I have real friends. I don’t have internet friends, you know what I mean? My internet friends are not my real-life friends. I just thought it was really important to be genuinely myself and I was not going to f*cking film that shows in LA, girl. No way. F*ck that.”
