Alibaba introduces AI products
A new generative AI chatbot developed by Chinese tech giant Alibaba is similar to the US ChatGPT. The company calls it Tongyi Qianwen, or “truth from a thousand questions.” Additionally, Alibaba says it will integrate the chatbot into all proprietary apps.
Alibaba demonstrated Tongyi Qianwen’s capabilities in its recent Alibaba Cloud stream. The video showed how the AI chatbot could take meeting notes, write emails, and draft business proposals.
Specifically, Tongyi Qianwen will be used to create custom large language models for the Chinese eCommerce brand’s new AI service.
Alibaba’s chairman and CEO, Daniel Zhang, said, “We are at a technological watershed moment driven by generative AI and cloud computing.”
According to Alibaba news website Alizila, the new AI chatbot adds features to DingTalk’s enterprise communication platform.
In addition to creating campaign ideas, proofreading documents, and generating meeting notes, Tongyi Qianwen can turn a hand-drawn sketch into a mini-app in seconds.
With ChatGPT’s new large language model, GPT-4, it can turn napkin drawings into websites. Also, Tongyi Qianwen will enhance Tmall Genie’s voice assistant.
Individuals and companies have been adding these features to ChatGPT, such as creating bedtime stories for children and recommending background music for workouts.
Alibaba Cloud’s Chief Technology Officer Zhou Jingren said the new AI chatbot would help businesses keep up with rapid technological advances.
“We hope to facilitate businesses from all industries with their intelligence transformation and, ultimately, help boost their business productivity,” he said. Moreover, the company will use the new chatbot to build LLMs for customers.
By using Tongyi Qianwen, companies can use the Alibaba ChatGPT rival for customer service and voice assistants, saving time and energy.
As a result, Alibaba ChatGPT rival Tongyi Qianwen and similar tools were inspired by the AI chatbot ChatGPT, which can generate seemingly manmade texts in seconds.
The creator of ChatGPT, OpenAI, continues to innovate. Thus, it released GPT-4, a new LLM for ChatGPT that adds powerful functionality.
GPT-3.5 had a word memory limit of around 8,000 words. In comparison, GPT-4 has a word memory limit of roughly 64,000 words.
Additionally, ChatGPT is now capable of understanding and writing 26 languages, including Ukrainian and Korean, thanks to GPT-4.
