After SB19, Clover is now ready to conquer P-Pop Music

After the successful debut of Filipino boy group SB19 in Philippine music scene, a four-piece girl group trained under a Korean management is set to emerge in the OPM music scene. Clover is composed of Jade, L.A., Mia, and Yuni.

Well, we still don’t know much about them other than the fact that their talents are really promising!

The said girl group is reportedly trained under South Korean label and management company, KP Entertainment.

In fact, this coming March 20, Clover is set to release their debut single Kumakabog-Kabog. Well, the visuals greatly resemble to those K-Pop groups in South Korea.

Prior to this, Clover also did a cover of South Korean girl group KARA’s Mamma Mia.

It was in early 2010s when P-Pop, a genre in OPM scene which features popular contemporary music in the Philippine, first introduced to Filipinos.

Some of the groups considered to have pioneered P-Pop include XLR8 and Pop Girls where Nadine Lustre was first introduced as an artist.

Kapamilya recording artists MNL48 also takes pride in being part of the P-Pop generation.

With all these P-Pop groups emerging in Philippine music industry, we are really sure that they’ll diversify the country’s music scene.
