Wherever they come from, they all fall under one similarity — being a proud Filipina. This year’s candidates of Miss Universe Philippines proudly shared different existing dialects in the country —and it’s beautiful!

On Tuesday, the pageant’s official Facebook page shared a video where all 52 ladies introduced themselves in their respective hometown’s dialect. From ‘magandang araw sa inyong lahat’ to ‘maayong adlaw sa inyong tanan,’ each candidate has given a chance to speak in their native tongue.

No matter what language she speaks, every Filipina is phenomenal,” Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) wrote.

In fact, the video has earned 1.9 million views, 57k reacts, 27k shares, and 4k comments as of this writing.

Moreover, netizens also applauded the video with different comments. They also showed support for some candidates as their bet to compete at the Miss Universe 2020.

Philippines is really diverse with hundreds of dialects. We even sound like Spanish and it is amazing we can converse well in English. Proud Pinoy,” one of the netizen commented.

Such a beautiful introduction video. Showcasing the different languages, how diverse is the beauty of the Filipino people and how witty and bubbly these ladies are,” another Facebook user wrote.

In fact, MUP just recently announced the official final candidates for the said pageantry who came from all over the country. The final screening of the pageant was held on February 6, at the New Frontier Theater. Among the 60 women who attended the final deliberation, only 40 of them were chosen as candidates.

Furthermore, the coronation night will be on May 3 at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.
