Unboxing: ASUS VivoBook S14 could be your work-from-home laptop for the new normal

The ASUS VivoBook S14 could be your work-from-home laptop for the new normal. Right off the bat, the striking youthful colors caught our attention.

The VivoBook S14 comes several color options: Gaia Green, Indie Black, Dreamy White, and my personal favorite, Resolute Red.

Look and Feel

Aside from the slick cover, the keyboard has an amazing finish with the ‘Enter’ key having a yellow border gives it a nice touch. This 14-inch laptop is lightweight at 1.4 kg or 3.08 lbs. It honestly does not feel like your holding a laptop. The aluminum finish does give it a high-end look and feel. What we’re most happy about is the additional perk of having stickers for you to personalize your S14. ASUS didn’t need to do this, but adding it immensely upped the experience a lot better.

Tiny, but Packed

The ASUS VivoBook S14 is well-suited for someone who has a versatile lifestyle. Despite its size, the S14 is packed with awesome features.

Sporting a screen-t0-body ratio is up to 85% because of the three-sided NanoEdge display making the bezels narrower.

Other premium laptops require you to purchase another adapter just to use the port you needed, which makes the overall experience a major downer. But with ASUS VivoBook S14, it’s packing with a ton of ports, namely: microSD Card reader, 2 USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port, a USB 3.2 Gen 1, and USB-C 3.2 port.

Additionally, what’s a notebook without the headset/headphone/mic port for listening to music backed-up by a Harman Kardon-certified sound system for high-quality detailed audio. It also comes with an AudioWizard (which we still have to experience – tune-in soon for our full review) with different kinds of modes: Music, Movie, Gaming, Recording/Speech, and Manual.
