Andrew fits in his apron and started a food business during quarantine as another source of income and a platform to bring smiles to people.

“I started Kusina Express because I really need to find other ways to earn especially now that this pandemic greatly affected my career as an actor. Pati na din yung Wellness Spa na bagong business lang namin that we established right before pandemic na hangang ngayon bawal pa din mag operate.At the same time with Kusina Express, we can also help in this time of pandemic by encouraging others not to get out of their houses.”
Kusina Express is a “Reheat and Eat” concept. Andrew thought of this idea because it targets a wide variety of consumers that gives them flexibility when and where to eat their food.
Love for cooking
Andrew first developed his love for cooking since he was a kid, which is why he took up Culinary Arts before he entered the entertainment industry.
Kusina Express promises that their menu stands out and described as ‘not your ordinary ulam.’ Boasting different yet tasteful versions of the famous dishes Sinigang, Kaldereta, Binagoongan, and many more.
“Honestly, I made sure na its not the typical Filipino food. Meron twist dapat! Whats the twist? It’s for you to find out.”
When asked if it’s wise for celebrities like him to venture into business especially in a time like this, Andrew believes that to each is his own.
“Honestly, it depends on people if they want to have their own business. But for me, at the end of the day walang permanent sa showbiz industry. Not everytime meron kang project. And for those na nagwowork for company, You need to dream big! Aim high! Dream to have your own company someday. Iba pa rin if hawak mo yun time mo. You can spend more time with your love ones too.”
At the moment, Kusina Express offers Pork Sinigang, Cremoso Beef Kaldereta, Porky Binagoongan, and Chili Chicken Adobo for friendly prices!
