As with any destination, travel to the Philippines comes with new safety considerations due to the COVID-19. Travelers to the Philippines must quarantine for 14 days in a government-approved hotel. Thankfully, Agoda is taking advantage of technology to provide assistance for travelers here in our country!
The convenient booking process for post-pandemic travels
Agoda is launching a new platform for quarantine package bookings in the Philippines. With this digital platform, you may now make a reservation for quarantine accommodation at more than 120 hotels nationwide.
Allegedly, Agoda automated the booking process for those people traveling to and within the Philippines. By simplifying their search and booking process, it can help both participating hotel owners and travelers efficiently. According to the company, the Agoda Quarantine Packages follow the rules of the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ). At the same time, the Department of Tourism accredits these packages for frontliners and patients in isolation.
Multiple purposes of availing Agoda Quarantine Packages
With this new platform, travelers may choose from quarantine properties in Manila, Cebu Angeles, Batangas, and Cavite. Options include airport transfers and daily meals. This is a perfect solution for those who have to complete the mandatory quarantine period. They must stay in a quarantine facility for 10 days then the remaining 4 days can be done at home. Agoda users can search availability, room type, and pricing in real-time.
Aside from that, embassies in the Philippines are now requiring quarantine hotel package bookings s to obtain approval for an overseas trip. Agoda Regional Director of Southeast Asia and Oceania Enric Casals, “Whether you are traveling back home or isolating to protect your family, we are able to offer an easy, convenient way to search and compare quarantine packages.”
As of yesterday, Agoda Quarantine Packages are now available. The company said that they are expecting more property options to participate in the program soon. Last year, Agoda has rolled out pandemic-friendly products like GoLocal, HygienePlus, and EasyCancel in 2020.
