Pia Wurtzbach joins in the cause for frontliners, sets up online fundraiser

As the situation in the country worsens and supplies of PPEs lessen everyday, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach launched her own fundraising campaign fto help the frontliners of the global pandemic COVID-19 who are vastly affected.

Pia took to Instagram her reaction and cry for help in this trying time. According to her, she feels grateful for the dedication of the healthcare workers, who put their lives at risk to serve and care for the Filipinos.

Further into quarantine, she realized that there is still a lot needed to be given. She urged herself to be useful, “I’m very grateful that I am able to stay at home.. but it got me wondering.. what can I do to help? How do I make myself useful at this time? So I decided to just try something. I tried looking for suppliers myself, starting with medical masks. And I found a few. I placed an order of 5,000 masks to be donated to our frontliners and I received them the next day. It made me realize, kung gusto mo talaga, may paraan.”

Then, Pia urged her followers to do the same.

She added, “So I am humbly asking for your help. Tulungan niyo po kami para matulungan pa po namin sila. If you can, please donate. The link is in my bio po. We will be keeping you updated on our progress too..
