of Mercury Released Full-length Debut Album, CHANGIN’

of Mercury, a Filipino alternative soul/rock band, has released their debut studio album, CHANGIN’, via Sony Music Entertainment.

The band shared that the 12-track release is an exploration of the various situations that “we face as humans”. CHANGIN’ sheds light on memories of their journey as a band and as individuals.

“One of the things that we did a bit differently is being able to write together,” the trio shares in a statement. “The many songs that we wrote are some things that we have gone through as a band and individually: heartbreak, love, laziness, productivity, stress, doubt, confidence, fear, and realizations. These are just some of the emotions we go through in our lives.” they added.

of Mercury and former bandmate knowmaad co-produced the album CHANGIN’. His slight experimentation added edginess to the music’s youthful exuberance. The outcome is incredibly timeless that doesn’t feel dated at all. An artistically fulfilled effort that combines their prior musical influences with newly discovered technical chops.

Nathan Huang, of Mercury’s main vocalist and guitarist, revealed there were ideas in their heads they couldn’t execute without Knowmaad. He also mentioned how interesting it was to have Knowmaad in their project as it felt like he had returned to the group.

CHANGIN’, initially released in three parts volume, culminates with old and new songs. In celebration of their sixth anniversary, of Mercury’s CHANGIN album was launched on November 11 at Nook Alabang, Muntinlupa City. The album launch also featured a long set by the headliner themselves, as well as guest performances by their peers in the music industry, including Any Name’s Oka, Lola Amour, ONE CLICK STRAIGHT, and Over October.

CHANGIN’ is now available on all digital music platforms worldwide through Sony Music Entertainment.
