Michelle Dee is Miss Universe Philippines 2023

All hail the new beautifully confident and phenomenal Filipina! Congratulations to Michelle Dee of Makati for winning the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2023. She will represent the country at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador.

The pageant’s grand coronation took place on May 13, Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena. A former Miss World Philippines 2019, Michelle was also last year’s Miss Universe Philippines Tourism.

Besting out 37 other candidates, the 28-year-old model and actress succeeds outgoing titleholder Celeste Cortesi. From one cross-over queen to another, the pressure is definitely on for Michelle. Not only will she fight our way back to the semifinals but she’s also aiming to win the country its fifth Miss Universe crown.

Bohol’s Pauline Amelinckx and Baguio’s Krishnah Gravidez rounds out the Top 3 and will be crowned after the event. The two of them will receive their titles as Miss Supranational Philippines 2023 and Miss Charm Philippines 2023.

Completing the Top 5 are Christine Juliane Opiaza and Angelique Manto who finished first and second runner-ups, respectively.

The pageant was hosted by Actors Xian Lim and Alden Richards with Maureen Montagne and Tim Yap serving as backstage presenters. A star-studded evening, the event was attended by the reigning Miss Universe R’Bonney Gabriel.

Other big names present were Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi, Nam Woo-hyun of Kpop boy group Infinite as well as Jessica Sanchez.
