A-Lister Marian Rivera-Dantes just offered to donate her breastmilk to help moms during coronavirus disease pandemic. In celebration of World Day of Human Milk Donation, the 35-year-old actress took to Instagram to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding.
Marian, who is, in fact, known to be an active advocate for breastfeeding, shared a photo showing packs of breast milk stored in colored storage bags. Moreover, she emphasized the benefits of breastfeeding as nutrients that can be found in breast milk.
“Sa pag gunita sa “World Day of Human Milk Donation” nais kong kong ibahagi ang mumunting alay ko sa mga sanggol na makikinabang sa natatanging sustansya at proteksyong taglay ng gatas ng ina,” she started her post.
In her post, she honors breasfeeding moms who have always been dedicated in taking care of their babies.
“Nakikiisa ako sa mga padede-nanay/moms na walang humpay sa pagaalaga sa kanilang mga anak. Sa panahon ng crisis, nawa’y makatulong ang donasyon na eto sa mga sanggol na higit na nangangailangan. #KapitNanay.”
Netizens as well as celebrities like Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis expressed their support to Marian.
Marian Rivera has two children with husband Dingong Dantes — Zia and Ziggy.
In fact, Ziggy recently celebrated his first birthday.
